On the night of Monday, June 15, 2009, Bob Ashmore and Bill Fox, scientists who have worked for Bell Labs, captured these color digital photos of strange lights around Table Rock in the Linville Gorge (in front of Brown Mountain). Here, with their photos combined, you can see one light changing colors. Another appears and actually rises into the air, hovers, then vanishes.
