The L.E.M.U.R. Team has been researching the Brown Mountain Lights for years. In that time, they’ve seen how difficult it is to obtain footage of the phenomenon. However, fall of 2000, all that changed. For the first time, the legendary illumination was captured on video. Fortunately, L.E.M.U.R. Vice-President Brian Irish was on the scene.

Mr. Irish used his special infrared night vision camera to capture the lights as they meandered about the famous ridge. Despite lighting and focus restrictions, he expertly wielded the camera, beautifully framing the scientifically-invaluable sight.
