Though the Brown Mountain Lights have reportedly been seen for more than 800 years, no known moving footage of the lights was obtained in that time. Despite the fact the lights are exceptionally bright to the human eye, it is difficult to accurately capture them on film or video. However, history has taken a turn . . .
At long last, in the fall of 2000, the L.E.M.U.R Team was able to finally capture video footage of the lights. L.E.M.U.R. Vice President Brian Irish wielded an infrared night vision camera which recorded over an hour’s worth of phenomenal and enlightening footage.
Portions of that footage were released to the media in June of 2001. The Video News Release, containing segments from the video, lasts 4 minutes, 10 seconds. Although that release was made exclusively for the media, you can purchase an updated copy yourself through this site.
The Brown Mountain Lights are truly one of the most enigmatic phenomena in the world. Upon watching footage of the lights, they only become more spectacular and perplexing. The Video News Release contains an introduction by L.E.M.U.R. President Joshua P. Warren, significant portions of the video, and a special interview with cameraman and digital imagining specialist Brian Irish.
For the first time ever, you may purchase copies of the video for $13.95 each (plus s&h), via credit card, check, or money order. Monies earned will help fund further research on the lights.
