Dust
Ruling Out the Conventional

A dusty area has many tiny particles. A camera will often focus on those particles and produce a blurred background. Cameras can interpret dust particles as orb-like images. Of course, an area with dust should have lots of dust. It is not common for a single anomaly (like a lone orb) to be created by dust.
