The Melting Pot
A Fondue Restaurant with a Heavy History

On Thursday, May 15, 2003, night of a full lunar eclipse, L.E.M.U.R. investigated the Melting Pot restaurant in the Biltmore Village area of Asheville, North Carolina.

The building is shaped like a triangle, presumably taking energy from one end of the structure and condensing, and enhancing, it on the other end. On one side of the building were train tracks (magnetic fields would rise as a train passed). On the other side were power lines with a large transformer. Plus, each of the fondue pots had its own miniature electromagnetic field WITHIN the large one produced by the wires and tracks.

The place was a bank in the 1920s, and looks extremely cinematic. At one time, the mafia supposedly controlled it, and men with tommy guns would stand on the balcony peering down to guard against theft. On the upper level, next to a special dining table, was a small, cramped room, presumably for an accountant. According to legend, someone was shot there.

Another prominent rumor is that money is still hidden in the walls somewhere in the building. A dining psychic once told the staff she saw a male phantom circling the building perpetually, searching for the hidden money.

Our brief investigation of the Melting Pot was fascinating, and we look forward to further research. How is the food? We dont know, since we havent dined there yet!

The Melting Pot is in Asheville, North Carolina and their number is (828) 274-4474.
