Meters allow researchers to detect and measure fields we may not perceive with our naked senses. These include electromagnetic, electrostatic, infrared, microwave, etc. Bizarre and erratic fields are often found in haunted or otherwise paranormal locations.

In life, the human body is composed of a physical and energy layer. Is it possible that when we die, the energy layer might still exist on some level? Could this energy layer house our consciousness?

There are lots of theories as to why these fields may be prevalent in "supernatural" locations.
